Understanding the honey flows in your area is key to being able to manage your hive(s) properly. Unfortunately, for many beekeepers these flows can be a bit of a mystery. This is the 5th edition of a 450+ page book, written by Frank Pellett (1879-1951). It’s a great book that is still very relevant today. There are hundreds of black and white illustrations and a tremendous amount of information on hundreds of plants, as well as geographic information that is specific to states or regions where the plants are found. I find this book fascinating, and very helpful in understanding the world that surrounds us and our bees.
